Hi All,

I just want to ask your experiences. Do you know when is the best time for me to call US Consulate to check on the interview's date? Mine was just turned in package 3 on 2/25 (in person). My plan is call them next week. Thanks for helps.

You can call or email them whenever you want. I had planned to call after 4 weeks if we hadn't recieved the Packet 4. I had emailed them about a problem we found in our original G325a when they emailed me about the problem and informed us about our interview date so I didn't have to call.

My phone calls to the Consulate have found them to fairly open to talking to the US citizen Petitioner. You do have to make sure they understand that you expect them to listen to you. One of my calls, I found the person wanted to answer only question then hang up. Once they understood that I had more questions they were polite, answered my questions and waited for me to say I had no more questions before they hung up.

When I called them, all they said was to wait from 2-4 months for an interview. They also said there was no need to call back again regarding this issue.

I disregard what they said and keep calling every week.

Best wishes to both of you.

Y'all, this is a stale thread. Haonie's fiancee already got an interview date more than a week ago (maybe 2, I don't remember), which is the 24th of April.

Hi All,

Let me share you a real story. I will also meet that guy on April 17 at Saigon. His fiancée has an interview on April 22.

When his petition’s package arrived to Saigon, he called US Consulate everyday. He requested a package 4 sent out ASAP (package 3 sent out and returned/completed because too many phone called from him). But Info Unit Staff denied and asked him wrote a letter with a reason why he needed to expedite his petition.

The letter was sent out to US Consulate 5 days later with a reason “Mom had an accident, grand-mother getting very old and want to see his fiancée”. Reason was denied because it wasn’t good reason.

He did not give it up, still called every day, 5 days a week. All Staffs of Info Unit know his name since he called every day (same story everyday and never give it up).

Finally, Info Unit gave up on him. They transferred his phone called to Lady (the one is usually schedule an interview date). She asked him picked any dates but no earlier than April 20, because they are too tired “sick” of him. He picked April 22.

I thought it was a joke, but it was a true story. I will also clarify something with him on April 17. Oh, yeah one more thing, he will somehow go inside the US Consulate with his fiancée on the interview date (darn, this man is rock).

I know there are 5 couples K-1 Visa (3 Americans, 2 Vietnamese) have an interview before me “couple days”. I’ll try to ask them the outcome.
