And what would be the purpose ? Just to see how long the list grows by the day ?

This won't help you or anybody else here determining the processing time at USCIS

Jumping from Feb 10,2007 to July 5,2006 tells me enough about USCIS and what shall I expect from them .

Why not come with a different solution like ,making a list with everyone that has been waiting for more then a year and send this list/protest signed by all of us to Washington ,maybe somebody there will look into our problem

We need action not consolation that hey ...I'm not the only one who is been waiting more then a year and sleep well for another year of waiting !

Just my opinion, we need to do something

At the very least it would cut down on all these threads/lists where people add their names to track their process. I like the tool on this website but a database like this is only as good as the data we all add to it. If everybody just blows it off and prefers to manually keep lists that can't be sorted and it tedious to maintain then that's a sad thing.

Thats what i was talking about but everybody gets so offensive....My point is what we enter is the real time line and real data while USCIS data, who knows...

Let me ask you this ....when you see how they jump from one Feb 10,2007 to July 5,2006 (Nebraska) what this list will mean to you ??????

Atleast it gives you HOPE. let me give you this example, VSC is showing the processing date of March 1, 2007 for almost past three months but from this forum we all know that they are approving case of July/august right now....

That may be the case with VSC but Nebraska is totally different .

I can't even recall one person from one of the older lists that have been approved by Nebraska (we are not taking about the lucky once transferred to California) and that's why I see these list as pointless.

Hope will come only if we do something about like ...sending a list with all the people that have been waiting for more then a year to Washington .That will give me some HOPE but just to see a list here with who is in the same situation ????? Not sure you understand my point of view !

Well, that's probably because you are talking about 2 different things

You are talking about the nonsense of keeping lists because it doesn't help you with your wait. You want action and you want it now. Sorry, no list in the world will help you with this. If it could I'd offer to personally walk your list to DC (as it happens to be just over the bridge from my house). Considering this, I get your point.

We, however, are talking about the nonsense of keeping manual lists with all the caveats that they have. Using the built in feature of the website is actually useful if everybody plugs in their data. That way you can see how much the data on the USCIS website deviates from reality. If there were no lists, nobody shared information and people were just to mind their own business, how would you even know that nobody in Nebraska has been approved for ages?

Ok so you have a good example with the new processing dates from Nebraska for February month ,you know that they are way far from reality ...do you stil need a list ? I mean you see it already !

Don't get me wrong I'm not against making a list with everyone still waiting to be processed but I don't see how that will help either.

Basically after waiting for almost 13 months when they posted that lousy July 5,2006 I thought I'm going to faint . To bad I’m not close to Nebraska Service Center

We’ll see what my Info pass will bring on Monday when I’m not going to leave the building until I don’t get an explanation .That’s something I think everyone should do ,put some pressure on them

I actually like the database here. At least it's accurate (more so than the USCIS in anycase). If people's timeline say they've been approved, then I know they've been approved. It's handy to see someone on a similar time line to me and get an indication of how far behind I am. Especially with Nebraska's weirdness.

I know for a fact (unless they are mistaken or lying) that people have been approved through the NSC this year without being transferred to another service centre. But the USCIS doesn't tell you that.

But hey, it's a choice. If people want to keep their timelines updated so other people get an indication of whats going on with them, then that's great. If other people don't care and don't bother, then that's great too.

It takes no effort, so I will be keeping my timeline updated.

All posts are based on my experience and the law may have changed, or situations may be different, any information provided should be taken as a guideline and not as fact.
