I'm curious as to what activities you have planned while your fiancee is being interviewed at the embassy. I've had offers that include a prayer vigil to massive doses of adult beverages at a local establishment.... Not sure which one gets my vote yet. How about your plans?

WOW!!! They don't allow the USC in the interview any longer? My how things have changed. I sat in the interview with my Fiance and the Consul. I would much rather be there then anywhere else, but if I can't then I would be sitting on pins and needles in the hotel. I don't feel comfortable around Manila enough to get out by myself and I am not much for drinking anymore. I guess I am pretty boring. Oh well.....wishing everyone good luck on their pending interviews!!!

I yaked with my wife until she entered the embassy and gave up her CP to sis.

I almost heart attacked when she called an hour later balling her brains out. Thought she'd been denied. Same thing happened first time on fiance visa and was denied.

This time it was tears of JOY!!

I just sat and sweated bullets for the missing hour. Made up for the sweat lost REAL quick by cracking a BUNCH of brews.

K1 denied, K3/K4, CR-1/CR-2, AOS, ROC, Adoption, US citizenship and dual citizenship

!! ALL PAU!

Sorry, Scott... not all of us go to Manila for the interview. I personally could have (financially), but that would have consumed my remaining vacation days, added a couple of grand in expenses, and I'm confident the outcome will be the same, even without my personal appearance. So, I guess I should have pointed my thread to those of us unable to attend the interview.

my fiance (now my husband) was waiting with copy of visa pick-up letter & telephone number of embassy on hand. (i forgot the name of that Embassy staff that's frequently called by USC petitioners for inquiries/concerns). we got her trunk line number.

well, we purchased tickets before the interview date. even though i already have a copy of the visa pick-up request, still my hubby was prepared to have one for any circumstances that embassy will require to fax it.. you know, times like this you'll never know what could possibly happen..

so my husband was kinda prepared for any phone -in emergencies..

ooohhh i remember that USEmbassy staff..her name is Lorraine (if not mistaken)..the very famous Lorraine ... she's nice & was able to attend to the questions of the USC petitioners. :)

goodluck!

Ooops....Sorry Derrel.....I misunderstood your post to mean you were in Manila and not attending the interview so I assumed that you couldn't get inside. There was some talk around here about them no longer allowing the USC to attend the interview, so I assumed that's what you meant. I just read it totally wrong. Sorry for assuming. I get it now and understand what you meant. If I was not able to go to Manila, for whatever reason, I would sit at home by the phone waiting for a text message with the results.
