Hello Vjers. I just need insights on this very important move that me and my fiance are about to make...

My interview will be on March 10. I am hoping and praying everything will be fine. I will also request for visa pick up after the approval from the consul. (got the letter from my fiance addressed to the Consul. )

The thing is, my fiance and I want to purchase my airline ticket now, and the flight schedule is March 14 at 10pm. So am asking what are my chances of having my visa ready for pick up on that date? ( I will have my CFO seminar on March 11). Please :help: me. Thanks alot VJ friends

To be on the safe side and to stress less, I think it's best to purchase your ticket after the visa is issued.

or at least not on that very closed date where you only have 4 days allowance...

anyways its good to spend more time with your family after the interview knowing once you get here gosh its gona be "maala ala mo kaya" drama hehe (just making some lighter comment)... anyways ive got nothing against buying a ticket before or after the interview since its by choice but im just hoping they will grant you a visa pick up and that 4 days is enough for it... otherwise at least extend the date of your flight... good luck!!! God bless to your interview

Oh Thanks a lot for all the insights, Nikmia and ronmay. They are all helpful. I think its really not realistic to have an allowance of 4 days. Thanks again

You are very much welcome lady_anne! Goodluck on your interview & I pray soon you will get the visa asap so you can purchase plane ticket right away & be with your babe  Anyway, ronmay is right, take time to spend time with family before your departure because you are going to miss them. God bless you!

I actually am in the same dilemma. My wife wants me there (badly hehehe!) as soon as i get my visa (by the way my interview is on March 12). I will also be requesting for visa pickup so here's our plan...

request for visa pickup and if approved will pick it up and get CFO certificate and stamps on the same day...but will purchase the ticket AFTER the visa pickup...however the thing is that its peak season and tickets are either very hard to get or very expensive (800+ USD for one way flight via PAL!!!)...

anyways, hope this helps (or not)...safer to buy tickets after you receive the VISA...

good luck!

2-0. In favor of the boys.
