So, our petition was forwarded to Vancouver on January 30. It's now the 21st and Linds still hasn't received the packet. Is there any way to track down the packet?

Oddly enough, the phone center for Vancouver is even more useless than NVC and VSC.

All you need is a modest house in a modest neighborhood

In a modest town where honest people dwell

--July 22---------Sent I-129F packet

--July 27---------Petition received

--August 28------NOA1 issued

--August 31------Arrived in Terrace after lots of flight delays to spend Lindsay's birthday with her

--October 10-----Completed address change online

--January 25-----NOA2 received via USCIS Case Status Online

Call DOS Visa Services and ask for status. NVC only will have info when they ar processing case, after it leaves NVC, then DOS will be your best source of information.

I know my package 3 was in my mailbox exactly 1 month from getting the I-129 approval. Don't worry- going through Vancouver- it's all going to go pretty quick from this point on.

I remember never getting packet 3 and wondering what was up and getting a letter saying my case expired. OH GOOD TIMES!

That was 4 months after they apparently sent the packet though...which...I never received.

PS: I moved midway through the process...I guess they didn't get my change of address form. My bad.

But at least you know yours is coming hold tight!

Donne moi une poptart!

Hmmph. You too, huh? Only I hadn't moved. My husband called Montreal and they told him that I was probably lying to him.... that a lot of women will tell their fiancés that they never received the package because they really didn't want to marry them and so they make up stories about how correspondence never reaches them. When my husband began questioning that person about their response, they started back-pedalling and said they'd send out "another". I received it the following week.

So, I emailed VancouverK@state.gov on February 19, a couple days before I started this thread. Anyway, I got a reply on February 22.

"We mailed the application packet 3 to her address at ******** on Feb 21 2008."

I don't know what happened for sure, but I think they forgot about us.
