rejection letter..need advice

When my I-130 was rejected (for signing on the wrong line) I got the NOA-1 rejection notice along with the entire package in the same evelope. The NOA-1 was dated 1 week before it appeared in my mailbox, if that helps you at all.

Sorry to stray off course here but do you really get completely rejected for signing on the wrong line? Yikes!

Yep. I signed the I-130 on the line that is for 'Person Completing the Form' rather than the Petioner line (which is directly above where I signed). I lost over 3 months of time since I originally filed Oct 2007 and didn't get the rejection until January 2008. I just received my NOA-1 for the resubmission and they generated a new case number for me so, I start over as if I had never filed in October.

Did you have to pay the fee again?

who needs a liare oops i meen laywer when you have VJ ,

fire the laywer you can find plenty of liares on the road ( I bet walmart has them on special in isle 9 LOL )

you can do it your self , the example forms here are great and realy work ,

and the guides and oh just the advice of the people here are worth a million and you dont have to pay a dime ,

OK Folks..I have an update..I talked to USCIS and they told me it would take up to 30 days for my packet to be returned,,SO..I called the lawyer(I have a few better names for her) and said**I'm not waiting..Redo it all..so I had to go get the doctors office to redo the medical forms($100.00) and 4 more pics for everyone($60.00) and I had to be at the **lawyers** off ice at 2 yesterday...well wouldn't you know..the packet arrived 5 minutes before me!!(another $160 out the window because of this woman!!) **deep breath** SO.. I took everything from her..and went to the post office myself..and it was received at the Chicago lock box today!

Now I just need to cross my fingers and hope they accept it THIS time..

**crossing fingers..and toes..and my legs..and my eyes!..ouch!..lol)

You should definitely ask that b1tch for a refund for these extra expenses. If she had READ the darn forms she could have saved you a lot of trouble.
