Hey, Tik got her packet 3 and it doesn't say anything about a Medical Exam..do they tell you about that when they send the interview date?

I got my medical information in packet 3. It all depends on what the consulates rules are. They are different for different consulates. Some embassies require the medical exam to be done on the same day as the interview.

You'll probably be the second case. First medical, then interview on the same day. The info will be included with the packet 4. Don't worry its a peace of cake.

Drew,

Go to this link for the US Embassy in Bangkok. It has the packet 3 instructions and forms. She should have received them, but if not, then you can print them out. When Rin went to BNH last April they had all the forms there. When we took her children for their medical in October, BNH did not have the forms. So we ended up going to a nearby internet shop and printing them out.

Tik will need to have the medical done prior to the day of her interview. Rin had her medical done about a month before.

Drew,

Additionally, have her send ASAP the items listed at the bottom of the link to the Embassy:

signed checklist

DS-230 Part I

two frontal photographs and

a photocopy of a passport photo page

They won't schedule her interview until they receive them. She will still have plenty of time to collect everything else (medical exam, police report, etc.)

Thanks a lot, I'll tell her to do that as soon as she can.

Hello everyone

JMy Fiancee just got her number 3 packet and our lawyer filed the response. Getting the medical and police report done will be helpful to have that filed. The medical examination and police check was done in Bangkok this past Monday. Both were done in in Bangkok. It nearly took her 3 to 4 hours to get all that dones plus innoculations. I am working on getting my financial documents in place as well as all of my correspondence recodrs and trips made to show a relationship clearly to the office as well.
