Just got off the phone with USCIS. This is the 3rd time I called them this week. They have been very friendly and somewhat helpful each time I called. I called last week because it had been 5 weeks since my i-130 was approved but NVC had not received it yet. NVC says average 2 to 4 weeks. I had also submitted the i-129f and it has been canceled. He have to go throught the Mexican consualate and since we planned on arriving with a K-3 visa, we had put on the i-130 app to be forwarded to local office. Now since i-129f has been canceled, we need the i-130 sent to NVC. Although the NOA2 says it will be forwared to NVC, I have a feeling it has been lost. I was nervious about calling USCIS becuase it states it could take up to 90 days for NVC to receive notification, I had a feeling they wouldn't be helpful. I was sure I would get call back after 90 days.

Anyway, last week, they said that they would do in inquiry on my file to see where it went. I should get a response back in 1 week. A couple days later I called again, and I was told that I was mailed out notification on Tuesday regarding the findings. I knew that it couldn't have went that smooth and that fast, plus I hadn't received anything yet. I asked if I could call back in a couple days if I hadn't received anything and they said yes.

I called again today and talked to a really funny, kind of smart #*(@ guy. I thought he was going to be a just an #*(@ at first but he wasn't. He would say, What USCIS made a mistake, that can't be. lol Never once was he rude or act like I shouldn't be calling. I told him, I know it can take up to 90 days, but I didn't want to wait that long. He said, of course not. Then he started jokign around saying "Oh Chuck at NVC received it but he has been on vacation for 6 months". He was really helpful and submitted a service request to have my application forwarded on to NVC. He said it can take up to a month, hopefully its shouldn't but they have a month to respond. I got a service requestion number and a target date.

Just wanted to share something positive about USCIS.

How did that guy get the job there? I was under the impression humanity was a blemish on a resume to them. Good luck with your case, I hope you hear positive news very soon!

His name was Larry. Seriously, he explained the process of what happens when you send in a service request. Like I said he gave me the service request number. When I told him that they were doing a inquiry and he asked me for the number that would start with a T, I said they never gave me one. He was like, "go figures, to me it sounds like they didn't do anything". And like I said before, I know it says it can take 90 days but I don't want to wait that long. I was really surprised when he said oh no you should have to wait that long. I was in sock the whole time on the phone. But I don't think he was just a regular customer service rep. He knew to much of the process to be just a regular rep. The other 2 people I talked to earlier last week, I couldn't hardly understand them. They had a very thick Asian accent.

my husband called the uscis today too, just to ask about the status . the agent she said that the I-130 could be approved by next month (hopefully).. and she was nice too and said "it must be lonely being away from you love one so long" "Don't give up you will see her soon"

she even said to keep calling about the status.. i hope every agent is as nice as her.

Goodluck to everybody! ^_^
