Receipt number invalid

I just got my NOA1. When i type the number on the uscis's website to check the case status, it says that its invalid.

Does anyone else have experienced the same things who are January filers.

Hi There

Just enter the letters and numbers without any breaks or hyphons, it has to be 13 characters. I recieved the NOA1 yesterday from Vermont and could check it straight away.

A lot of Vermont applicants cannot see their status online from as far back as September/October. So I wouldn't be too concerned as you are in with good company!

Its true. I am an October filer who filed in Vermont and still can't see my case. When I called USCIS they said they are backed up entering the information into there system but it does not affect the approval process. So I wouldn't worry about that part. I know how you feel though. I would love to track my case online but we are just left in the dark.

Me too! I'm an October filer and got my NOA1 on 10th Jan - still can't access my file online - it seems to be the CR1/K3 filers at Vermont who have this issue. I'm not expecting to see anything before the end of Feb or even the end of March. Although it doesn't stop me trying it every day!

Same here, Vermont, got my NOA1 few days ago, and it wont work, when I called they told me that its in their system, but not in public system.

I'm in the same boat - got my NOA1 today from VSC, checked number online and it said it could not be found at this time.

Very true, alot of peeps who got the NOA1 and especially VSC can not view online yet - you will get that funky message that your case does not exist. Even tho our I129f is available for showing, the I-130 just does not want to compute.

When speaking with Omsbdmn office yesterday morning, she confirmed that we are in that other "secret data base" grrrrrrr - I want that one lol - but not in the main one that we all can view. She said blah blah blah, she spoke with VSC - they are trying to enter them , but again blah blah blah, backlogged.

Tis ok, its there, and maybe just one morning you will wake up enter that number and it will show APPROVED - that has happened to a few peeps in our August September group.

Dont worry peeps, it will show up one day and maybe just maybe it will show I-130 approved - I cant view it and understand that the backlog is only temporary but damn please USCIS - for once - update your site to reflect is can take more than 3-4 weeks - pleezeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee...
