Hey Eveline,

I completely agree with you - VSC is taking a long, long time compared to CSC.

It is very unclear how the same service, for the same price, can differ so vastly in processing time.

In my instance, VSC has not even mailed the NOA1 confirming my GC extension. I did not schedule an infopass appointment at the time due to the fact that I did not have to travel, had a steady corporate job and did NOT EXPECT such a delay in processing.

I am starting a new position with a new company this upcoming month which requires international travel - THANKS VSC for making my life more complicated than it should be......my carrier might have to be put on hold.......and the unceratinty of whether or not, or WHEN my I-751 will be aprroved is killing me.............

Grr-rrrrr EXTREMELY frustrated!!!

Well, same here. I sent everything to TSC at the time when they didn't send out the extension letters. A few days before my GC expired I went for an Infopass to get my stamp in the passport. I didn't want to travel but I wanted the stamp just in case I had to. Still hoping to hear from VSC until March.

Yay! I just checked my case status online and it says my card has been ordered. I submitted my I-751 to VSC on February 4, 2008 and today my card has been ordered and should hopefully be here in the next 30 days.

Hi Neja,

Congratulations, Neja for getting your 10yr Green Card!!! What a good way to begin the New Year, indeed!

After such a long 11 months wait, you deserve it! It's good to know that the VSC is doing something, even if it takes a long time. Too bad though, you couldn't get a refund for the I-751, as you only have the 10yr card for a short time now.

Oh well, onto the next stage of citizenship for you, Neja!
