And I received today another email from CRIS dated February 13 stating they had mailed my approval letter on February 13 - the approval letter that I had already received several days before the 13th. Left right - right hand, yeah, you know! Still waiting for my card though.

Remembering the AOS process, I think the "approval letter" is the physical card.

Wanna hear a better story about USCIS not knowing what they are doing? I received a letter today that is our 1 yr extension, dated September 30th. Inside was the original envelope, showing it was returned because they had the wrong address. I had called and called and called, wondering where it had gone, had it fallen into a black hole (even though we had the 1 year stamp) anyway, we have the 1 year extension letter, 5 months into waiting *sigh*

i received my Green Card on the mail yesterday as well - 2/17/09. i was approved the same day you were 2/6/2009. yuuupppeeee

Basically, shows that USCIS only changed initials from USINS.

After I had my GC interview in Montréal (Dec 1999), and had already received the plastic GC in mail (late Jan 2000), I actually received approval for a TN-1 petition which was "in-process-limbo" at the time of my trip to Montréal. :wacko:

Congratulations! It's about time!

Apparently, my new green card arrived in the mail yesterday - and the postman delivered it to the WRONG HOUSE!! I thought it was peculiar that we only got magazines delivered yesterday. Well, today my neighbour brings over 3 letters as well - including my green card - that were put into their mailbox instead. Thank heavens we have good neighbours! Phew!

My card is correct - and they even sent a little tyvek envelope for it. Cool.

Updating for our approval. Just got a CRIS update stating that they approved the card on 02/18/09.
