Hi,

after almost 9 months in TSC my case was transferred to Vermont... is that a common thing and if so do I get a new case number or do I continue looking up information under the TSc number? Anyone else have the same situation?

Me too. After 8 months of inaction and dust collection at TSC, they finally transferred my file to VSC. I'm NOT surprised though. It's clear to everybody that USCIS is the most dysfunctional and ineffective US agency ever - even worse than FEMA. And it's sad that they're getting away with this gross ineptitude.

Hello

After 9 months my wife's case was transferred from the TSC to Vermont yesterday.

Here are our dates:

03/23/07 - NOA1

04/20/07 - biometrics

04/23/07 - record updated to reflect biometrics

01/18/08 - Service request

01/31/08 - Case transferred to Vermont

I wonder if this has anything to do with the Service Request we launched on 01/18/08 via the phone.

Question is- do we now go back in the line at Vermont??? This really sucks....

The people who filed in VCS 6 months ago and longer will be mega pissed if those getting transfered from other SC get approved before them.....

Kez

Heh, I was thinking of you since you are due for approval from VSC in a month's time. If that turns out to be the case, and of course I hope so (can you blame me?), then it's not really unfair in the context of all I-751s filed regardless of service center. All of us TSC Losers® have NOA1s at least a good two months earlier than yours, and in some cases seven months earlier.

Although I would be pissed if I had to wait longer than I thought b/c of these transfers, too.

I agree it is wrong that you have all had to wait over 6 months and watch other who filed after you get transfered and then approved in a few weeks... but there are many people from VSC who have waited a lot longer than 6 months... I feel the fairest way would be to slot all the transfers in acording to the date they filed so no one gets approved before others who have waited at VSC with no chance of transfer and fast approval...

Because VSC is taking 6 months to process case, that means that all our cases (over 6 months old) will be moved to the front of the line and here is where my theory about being approved in a couple of weeks is coming from. I am willing to put money on this thing - I got a couple of bucks if anyone is interested.

why you came up with this??? You know of someone that was in a similar situation//..????

Settle down, pumpkin. I've been dealing with the immigration bureacracy for the last 3.5 years. My wife's I-130 has been trasnferred from TSC to CSC back then. While I cannot promise you or anyone else a speedy approval, the experience tells me it won't be too much longer. Folks like us ought to go to the front of the line because they cannot discriminate against our cases on the basis of service center (unless there is some crazy dislike and rivalry going on between TSC and VCS that we dont' know about), they have to go by date we filed.

Now that I think about it, I'm pretty sure that's what they'll do. All of us old TSC transferees (as opposed to the people who just recently filed at TSC and were immediately transfered to VSC) filed before the people who have been waiting the longest at VSC.

According to the master list here, VSC has approved people with NOA1s of at least well into July, and possibly even a bit later. (The list, which doesn't reflect the January 4 approval of thea, shows that the longest standing unapproved VSC filer is ForYou, with an Aug. 8 NOA1; but he/she hasn't been around since September.) The most recent filer from the bulk TSC>VSC transfers has an NOA1 of July 3. So there is no reason to expect that we bulk transferees won't all be put at the top of the pile, and slotted for immediate adjudication chronologically within our bulk group.

The downside for you is that we are talking about four months of TSC petitions -- I don't know if that means you and the people behind you are going to be pushed back four months. I hope not for your sake, but who knows.

Meh

I hope not too.... The people from VSC have lost out at all stages... when we were doing AOS we had to sit and watch people from other SC get transfered to CSC and get approved without interview and then we find the same happening at Removal of Conditions but nobody from VSC gets transfered anywhere we just have to wait and wait.... but hey we all know that life is not all fair and I hope you longtime waiter from TSC get you approval real soon.... I will be filling for Citizenship come Aug so if my ROC is not approved by then at least that will force them to approve or denny...

Good luck

Obviously, the officers at TSC are merely getting paid to pass on their responsibilities to officers at other centers.
