Copies of documents to start K-1 petition

Hi friends, sorry but I have another silly question.

My fiance is getting copies of his documents tomorrow to start our K-1 visa.

He asked me if those copies must be photocopies? or could he scan and print his documents?

at USCIS site they just say copies and this is why he has doubts.

I made photocopies, but I guess when you scan them and print them they pretty much look like photocopies, and on some scanners there is a photocopy feature, isn't there? I'd say as long as there isn't too much of a difference in the way a photocopy and the scanned copy looks, otherewise I would go with photocopies just to be safe.

Ditto, if they look like copies, and are readable, you should be fine

My passport was a scan and print since I forgot to send in with the rest of the docs so I just scanned it and Luis printed at his home, to go faster, I doubt we´ll get an RFE for that.

All our docs were scanned and we were approved without a problem!
