Had a frozen meal - Sesame orange chicken with rice. Yummy! And frozen Caribbean fruit bars for dessert.

which shelter did u volunteer in vic?? lived there for 9 yrs

The Victoria SPCA on Napier Lane (right off Burnside.) I lived in a few neighbourhoods while I was there...Esquimalt, Gordon Head (Shelbourne area,) and Hillside. What about you?

Lived on both ends of the Gorge at times,lol Rented a condo closer to the city,whats that gorge rd east?? Right across the street was a Tim hortons,lol There was an animal shelter fairly close to it. Adopted two cats from there. Then bought a house down near the river, guess that was gorge rd west. Loved that area. Vic was a nice place, much nicer than the DC area,lol

I know exactly where you're talking about..I used to manage the Esquimalt Tim Horton's and had to make trips every so often to the Gorge store to borrow stuff. The animal shelter you're referring to was the one I volunteered at :) I'm glad tohear you adopted two cats from there, they always seemed to have 100+ kitties looking for homes :)

I agree, Victoria WAS a nice city, I miss it alot. When was the last time you were back? I'm curious how much it's changed.

last i was back in vic was 2 yrs ago, only for a few days!!

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied,that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

Last night we had bbq ribs, salad, and potato skins. I'm not quite sure what we're having this evening.

I had white rice and a little later on I had some soup. Not sure what is for dinner tonight, probably order in something.

BBQ ribs sound so good, and I don't eved like them that much lol - it's just that they were all over the food channel yesterday.

September.04.2009 Received Advance parole in the mail (I-131) =) yaaay i get to go home in December!
