having grilled chicken Caesar tonite

I went to a Princess party last night... crystal & stuff..

strange... I felt I had to buy something, but I did get a nice mixing, measuring bowl with a lid.. it was 40.00$ though :(

Is that like a tupperware party? I avoid going to those, I always feel pressure to buy something too.

No this is like nice glass wear and dishes & stuff.. nice.. but pricey!

I actually want to make BBQ hamburgers tonight however I don't know that I have enough flour to make buns. I'm going to wait and see if the rain stays away for a bit. It just stopped raining here a couple of hours ago.

I know you make your own buns...I'd like your recipe...if you could post it, or email it to me. Who's the griller? You or Mike?

Well I am, only because I am usually making dinner while he is on his way home from work. Funny thing is, I never used to BBQ - just would not. However since moving here it's like...if I can't BBQ it i'm not cooking lol. I would really like an outdoor kitchen.

Anyhoo, here is the recipe I use. The thing about this dough is that it is going to be sticky - and that's good - it gives it that soft crust. I actually use this recipe for bread now, as well, as it is like 'real' bread as opposed to some recipes that have that tough crust.

This makes 2-3 buns, so I double it for bread.

1/3 cup milk

3 tbsp Water

1 tbsp and 1 tsp Butter

1 1/2 cups bread flour

1 tbsp quick yeast

2 Tsp Sugar

1/2 Tsp Salt

1 egg

I mix this in my bread maker then when that is done rising I form it and let it rise again for about 25 minutes then bake it at 350 for 20-25 mins.

Thanks so much for the recipe trailmix! I was out and about yesterday, too late to make my own buns for turkey burgers last night but I'll try it the next time.

Along with the turkey burgers I made a cold broccoli, grape, and bacon salad that was delicious.

Tonight perhaps lime chicken, with sweet potato fries and the rest of that broccoli salad.

You're welcome! Lime chicken sounds really good, although I don't have any chicken here. Seems like every time I look at it in the store I just go meh and move on.

Broccoli, grapes and bacon - now that is an interesting salad. I don't eat broccoli, even though I like it, but I really like the idea of grapes in a salad. No idea what is for dinner tonight, maybe hamburgers...will see if the rain is going to stop for a while.

Mexican food is my favorite!

These nachos are the best....

chips with refried beans, chicken cuts (or steak), shredded cheese, sour cream. Oh my mouth is watering just thinking about the Mexican happiness awaiting me!

Went out to eat... sat in an enclosed patio area (we wanted outside, but it would've been an hour) on the edge of a lake... so beautiful... and had barbeque chicken pizza. Yummy!!! And I've even got leftovers for tomorrow! :)
