i feel like that every night :P:lol:

I do try and make meals during the week but on weekends we tend to eat out a lot... it doesn't help that there are a lot of good places to eat around here that are fairly inexpensive...

Ended up going out with the girls for drinks. We shared some flatbread pizzas, one was margerita, the other bacon and tomato, also had bruschetta. Very yummy and all very garlicky too :)

We had salad and a grilled cheese last night, instead of soup and grilled cheese. I don't remember when I last had a grilled cheese sandwich and boy was it good.

I was thinking of pizza tonight, but Gene had pizza at lunch yesterday. So maybe something with chicken. I don't know yet.

Right beside my Dentist office is a Pappy Murphy, that makes take and bake pizza's. We had them once, and they were quite good. I might just decide to stop there and pick up one of their heart shaped pizza's for tomorrow though.

Heart shaped pizza for tomorrow - now that is a good idea :)

We ended up having grilled cheese last night too! I said to Mike, you can have your curry and i'll have a grilled cheese (I didn't feel like having the curry) - but he really likes grilled cheese so he had that as well!

Tonight he will be having the curry !

I was thinking pizza too, but since it is curry night I am thinking I might make the pizza dough and roll it up in the fridge for tomorrow - make a heart shaped pizza for dinner! I was thinking some heart shaped sugar cookies too.

Hey Udella&Wiz, here's the recipe for the Pumpkin Bars!

1/2 cup butter

1 cup packed brown sugar

2 eggs (or replacer)

1 cup pumpkin puree

1 tbsp pure vanilla extract

1 cup whole wheat flour ( I use whole grain spelt flour)

1 tsp baking powder

1 tsp baking soda

1 tsp ground cinnamon

1/4 tsp ground ginger

1/4 tsp ground nutmeg

1/4 tsp ground allspice

1/4 tsp salt

Preheat oven to 350.

Combine butter, sugar, eggs, pumpkin puree, and vanilla.

Slowly add in the dry ingredients.

Spray a 9x13 pan with oil or grease with butter.

Spread the batter in the pan.

Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a knife comes out clean when inserted into the middle of the cake.

I added in a few tbsps of dark chocolate chips and chopped pecans to the mix. They're fantastic this way. This recipe makes a very moist cake. Don't be alarmed though when the batter is pretty thick. I find that you really have to spread the batter to get it to fit in the pan. I wonder if you could use a smaller pan and have a higher cake. I like the thin cake though, but that's just me! I hope you enjoy them. They're fabulous!

easy dinner tonight - mashed potatoes, roast chicken already roasted from Krogers, green beans and salad. Just don't feel inspired.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”
