Someone mentioned chicken curry with basmati last week... who was it?

Well thanks to you I am making that tonight. :D

Ta daaaaah! *takes bow*

we are going out for supper tonite.. it's our anniversary this week oh la la :)

Oh #######! It was my anniversary yesterday! :o

Actually, it's not such a big deal. Our real anniversary is in November. Groundhog Day was when we did the formal ceremony with the family. LOL

Happy anniversary, E!

Happy anniversary Em!

Ok, there seems to be some weird thing here with fresh asparagus. It does not keep at all. Mike bought some last night and so I am making it for dinner tonight, because I know this (and have thrown out a lot of asparagus!)

Even though he only bought it last night, I bet it wouldn't have been any good by tomorrow.

Anyone else notice this? I know it's not the hardiest of vegetables, but I do expect it to keep for a couple of days in the crisper.

I've noticed that Albertsons gets their vegetable delivery on Thursdays so Fridays are a good day to buy vegetables.

Tonight we are having a form of Italian Wedding Soup. Treble's thread gave me a craving. lol

Oh! And I'm going to make homemade crusty bread to go with it! Going to pound the dough myself. No wussy breadmakers for me. :hehe:

Points awarded for making the dough without a breadmaker ..... zero!

Yes that's right, you get no extra points <_<

Pulled pork, although I just remembered to put it in the oven now and it probably should have been in the oven 2 hours ago!

I think with garlic potatoes, green pepper, green onions and...corn.

Anyone doing low sodium recipes lately? Apparently I have high BP and am to cut down drastically on salt - which I don't add directly, but it's hidden in so many foods regardless.

I've been changing up a couple favourite recipes, but sometimes it just doesn't cut it.

Thanks

I always am... I've had hypertension since age 21, and been on meds ever since. I had to see specialists because they thought I had a heart problem.... I was young, thin, vegetarian, don't smoke, only drink socially, excercise. Not a typical case but it turns out it's genetic.

So, I never add salt to my food and I try and buy low-sodium everything, especially sauces and soup. It's hard sometimes because there is so much sodium in packaged foods, I read the labels like crazy.

Had Thai for dinner tonight .... beef curry with pineapple. Today, my doc told me she thinks I have had an allergic reaction, possibly to shrimp, so she wants me to avoid it. I am devastated, as shrimp is one of my most favorite foods :( I can accept an allergy to anything else, just leave me my shellfish. I LOVE lobster, clams, shrimp, crab and mussels sooo much.

yeah I was quite happy with my find.. our TV in the bedroom doesn't work that great anymore.. the colour only works if you bang on the TV a bunch of times and that is usually my job :P so I figured it was time for a new TV...
