05/03/2007 interview -> AP -> hell -> AP -> 9 months of AP Hell - 2 home visits :(

01/26/2008 visa in hand with a typo :(

02/03/2008 2 weeks more of waiting.... Visa in hand...... :)

2/20/2008 on US soil :)

2/21/2008 marriage :)

hi everbody still soo happy after my latest Cairo email... but have to admit im more than a little worried about the passport :( The asked him to send it in but they already have it :crying: .... I hope to here back from them soon .. the anticipation is so hard

AAAAARRRRRGGGGHH!!! I woke up to this message and I have no idea what this means because my husband's asleep and won't answer the phone!!!:

"Goodmorning and good news embassy, they called now toke infor about me address sisters work last time we been together i told him i miss my wife he smiled an said soon i just got the papers so inshallah good"

####### does THAT mean? How can he smile over the phone???? What papers??? OMG I"m gonna kill him for takin' a nap!!!

are we posting here or the other thread ?

anyway, bridget... maybe just got the papers means must get the papers ???!! who knows?

and "smile" & "laugh" always get confused in this house. so, maybe either he means laughed or that there was an implied smile....

Ok...it was only a phone call. He could apparently "feel" the smile from the man's voice. lol. He asked him his name, where he lives, are there any major landmarks near where he lives, what does he do for work, where are his parents, what education does he and his sisters have (####### does THAT matter???), when was the last time I was there. When my husband asked, "when can I get the visa I miss my wife too much these days" he said, "soon, I just got your paperwork today to work on".

That tells me that this guy is kind of like the next to last step I guess right? I hope so!!!! I don't know why they'd bother actually coming out to visit but since he asked about landmarks I"m wondering if that's the next step. Who the heck are they going to talk to though? His sisters won't answer the door to a stranger and he's at work when they'd normally come around so it's a mystery to me what the next step will be. :wacko:
