hi,

My case was also of 221 (g), I had to submit additional paperwork and I was done in 2 days. for AP, they count working days. So just 5 days of the week... so for you it will be a agonising wait of 2 more weeks. After that you email the consulate. And go to the Consulate Personally.

YOU call the DOS number and give your case number and ask them if the APis over and You will get the reply.

God Bless. I hope you are done soon. I know how it feels to be on 221g

221g is something u dont want to see, it states invalid to receive the visa at this time. THere can be reasons for this as simple as they need something else u will need to supply them or they are having problems and your case will be returned for review.

My husband also stuck AP and 221(g).....

Since his interview on December 11th, 2007.

My husband was told he "passed" the interview, but needed a Joint Sponsor (we have one now). He is now undergoing ADMINISTRATIVE PROCESSING. Which he was told three times by the consulate officer, that AP will only take 1 month.

Told that once his AP is done, he can come back to the Embassy with Joint Sponsorship papers.

So we are just waiting....

Hey Jigi,

I'd appreciate that phone number too. I have one that my husband got from the NVC: 202-663-1225. Is that for the Department of State?

Thanks! :)

No new information for us. We involved our Congressman's office almost immediately, and she told us that it'd take ~2 months. But, that is absolutely unacceptable to us, so we are doing our best to (politely) keep the wheel squeaky. Because...the squeaky wheel gets oiled. Now we are getting my employer (and his future employer too-we'll be working together!) involved, and the University has a DC office which can inquire after the case.

I'd say above all, be polite. I'm frustrated as heck, but I figure it'd be best to be nice.

hi there,

my husband has been on AP since september 2007 after his interview

it has been several months but many have waited longer

UK should not cause a problem, it is Iran, Iraq, Syria that cause problems

since your CO is India, it should be less time as well, north africa, middle east, pakistan, bangladesh, muslim nations have longer waits

I wish you the best

please keep me updated on your case

It is so hard, but we must wait, it will happen in due time

when u dial DOS, press 1 then 0 to go straight to a visa specialist, but dont be discouraged if u hear "AP" or "AR", or if u hear the different things in the same day

let us keep our patience and understand the value of love and communication during this process

I pray all those who are waiting get their visas in hand, I pray for us as well

Tammy

AP: Over 1 year.

Visa: Nov 2

US Entry: Nov 13, Alhamdulillah.

Any updates ppl. is any one got reply from DOS or Consulate yet?? please let me know update if you receive anything or where you guys gets your process to or any update in status...

I called jan 17th, and was told that AP was complete and that the case has gone to the embassy for review, now called and told its under administrative processing

The embassy says they will call as soon as review is done

Will keep everyone updated, for those of you who might not know, you can get both AP (at NVC and DOS) as well as AR (at the consulate level)

I wish everyone the best and that we get visas in hand

our 2006-207 generation may be coming to a close

My prayers are with my husband and with you all

Tammy
