Ok for all of you who've already sent out your petition...I've been reading the guides and I'm still a little confused, so I thought I'd go straight to the success stories for my answer. How did you contain your initial petition. I'm getting stuff around to send out for the I-129F and wondered, did you use a binder or how did you keep everything all together and organized? Since they are saying the waiting time may increase, I want to be sure my package of 'stuff' is as easy as possible to view for the person handling my case. Thanks for any and all hints, tips and info! :help:

j4k,

You don't need a binder - things just need to be organized as a courtesy to the person going through your package - understand that once your package-o-stuff arrives, it is taken apart and put in a folder so the work you do will be for nothing if you make a binder with tabs etc.

Best advice - staple items that must be attached to each other (multi-part forms, etc), paper-clip (or binder/acco clip) groups of things together, thats about it.

On the same topic...what types of bags do you need to put the passport pictures in to attach them to the form?

And, is a table of contents necessary, or will the cover letter suffice?

Thanks,

Dawn

We didnt use any form of binding. We just made sure that everything was in order and then folded a piece of paper in half and slotted our petition between that. Our way of thinking was that USCIS are going to take it to pieces anyway, so having everything loose would make it easier for them.

For our photos and cheque...what we did was glue/tape an envelope to a piece of paper....printed on the piece of paper AND the envelope what it was going to contain, and then put our photos/cheque in the appropriate envelope.
