hi everyone. i have a question/concern. my fiance is having his interview on may 4. before we had filed the k-1 petition, about 2 months before that, he tried to get a tourist visa to come back to the US with me for a month and then go back to his country and wait till the k-1 papers had been processed. his tourist visa was denied though. will that be a problem for the visa issuance/at the interview? can he be denied the visa because of this or will they think there is something suspicious about it? thanks!

That depends on why the tourist visa was denied. If it was denied because your fiance couldn't show proof of ties to his home country, then no, they won't be taking it into account. If he was denied for drug offenses or some other heavy crime, then they probably will.

ditto to gwen, nikh.. usually tourist visas are refused because the person can not show enough ties to their home country (IF it's their home country, know what I mean?).

For a fiance visa, that is not an issue, because they're not going back.

Try not to worry.. only another week or so! :)
