Hi fellow VJ members,

Anybody can help me enlighten with this one or anybody here have encountered the same problem as ours....

My fiance had a car wreck last 1987 and it involves woman who died during that accident. The immigration required to submit a copy from the courthouse that the case is closed, though my fiance had already obtained a copy and was sent to the immigration office that requires it.

My question is does it affect his petition as K1 filer?....He filed the papers last July, 2007 and up to now we did not received the NOA2, though the required papers was just sent this week.

Thanks for any comments here....

Who had the accident? US citizen of foreign citizen?

If US citizen this has no affect.

If foreign citizen, it the case resulted in charges filed, and a criminal record, then may need to file a waiver when it comes up at the visa interview.

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.

Hey :)

You got an RFE for this paperwork and you sent it in what they requested? I don't see it having an effect on the petition as long as everything checks out. I would wait a while longer and give them a chance to have a look at the paper that was sent in.

I'm sure it will all work out.

Yes, my USC fiance had a wreck....just worried about it, if they will not approve the petition filed, though my fiance rest assured me that it will be fine...u know, the excitement and the long waiting to be with someone u love, makes more difficult to adjust when things like this add to the anxious feelings you have with this long journey....

Thanks again my friends, it helps to unload burden in my mind....
