:goofy: Good morning everyone! We are getting the I-751 packet together and I had one question please. Most everything you send are copies, but because the letters from our friends have the raised notary seal do we send the originals so they have the original notarized form? I cannot find any specifics on this. All I see is: " . . . you MAY include affidavits from people who know you as a couple (see examples), confirming your marital relationship -- note that they are not required". So it doesn't specify sending copies or originals. Thank you. :goofy:

09/11/12 . . . . Interview in Atlanta. Oath ceremony same day. Keith is a U.S. Citizen!

06/01/2007 - Date on NOA (1 day after they received our package!)

06/11/2007 - NOA and Biometrics notice received via snail-mail

06/21/2007 - Biometrics taken

04/03/2008 - Transferred to CSC

05/14/2008 - Approved (notified via email)

05/21/2008 - Card received

01/05/09: Oath Ceremony 10:00AM. Now officially a USC!!!

Yup, if you're just sending letters that have been notarized, you're not sending what the instructions are asking for, which are sworn affidavits. All the notary seal means on a letter is that the notary is verifying that the signature on the letter belongs to the person who signed it. A sworn affidavit is a legal documents and its notarization reflects that that the statements in it were made under oath (i.e., are sworn).
