Deb,

The good thing is there was a response other than AP. At least they took the time to actually make a statement to the congressman. When mine contacted Cairo, they got the same canned response as I always get.

Ahmed asked the same thing about the home visits. He has not had any yet. We were wondering if every family gets them, or they just single out individual cases. This would be interesting to know.

It is 9 months of AP for us, and this whole process just drives you crazy.

Take care,

Sue

Dear Water, yes i guess it dose indicate progress of some sort. It also seems to indicate that they know where his file is. I have really thought at times that they had just put it in somes pigeon hole some where and let it collect dust. This is the hardest thing i'v ever gone through. Thanks for the good wishes. I hope your case makes progress as well. Keep in touch. I love reading your post. Your a real human. Debbie

Dear Sue, I'm sorry to say but our case has been in A/P for 14 months. They have responded to my congressman in the past with the pat answer of "your case is in A/P. You'll be notified when it is completed."This time my congressman contacted the DOS. They (the DOS) contacted the embassy this time. And security was the explaination this time. This process is making me and my SO crazy. In march it will 2 years since i applied for my SO. But they say nothing last for ever. Let's hope this is true for this process as well. I hope you get good news soon. Debbie
