Call the NVC, and make sure the case is not held up on AR or anything like that.

If you have a letter from NVC (not USCIS) saying it's been approved and being forwarded to the embassy, I don't think it would be hung up in AP if they sent the letter.

They send the packet via DHL which only takes a few days to most countries. My guess is that the case is at the embassy, being processed or sitting in a queue.

You can find the status at this point from the Department of State visa office. Dial 202-663-1225, then press 1, then 0 for live assistance. They can tell you when the embassy received the packet, when they mail it, etc.

Good luck!

thank you jesse, I called the NVC office & they said that they mailed it to the embassy on December 12th & it can take 2-4 weeks & it can go through customs & take a little longer. But she said they would contact my fiancee with the next step.

Should i call this other number "Department of State visa office. Dial 202-663-1225" can they tell me more information like if they recieved it or anything like that???

Yup. They can tell you lots of information, like if/when the embassy received the I-129f, shipped Packet3, etc.

Good luck!
