We are having a hard time figuring out what is the correct procedures. If you go to the USEM website and read directions, it says the DS-156 has to be filled out on-line no exception. it also states that the DS-157 is supplies by the bank and validated by the bank. If this is this case do they still send out the packet and if so can these be filled out by typing or hand writing the information in. Do you fill out the DS-157 they send and take it to the bank or do you use the banks DS-157 form. If this is the case and the embassy sends out the packet, why does their website say you are to fill this out on-line and get the other form the bank. What the heck is the right procedure. Who knw for sure exactly what happens. If someone can explain better please do

Also when do we pay the proceesing fee? do we pay it now so they will procees the application and give us a date or do we wiat until we have a date and then pay?

u have to wait for the USEM to send you instruction before you worry about any of those things. Once you get the instruction, you may filled-up the DS-156 on-line though they will send you a form together with the instructions. With regards to the payment of visa you will pay it when you got your appointment letter.
