Hi everyone- I'm currently planning my future summer Turkey travels. I'm pretty excited, I've only been to Turkey in the winter, I've never been able to take advantage of the beaches in Efe's hometown. Have any of you USC's flown to Turkey with a one plane way ticket on a tourist visa? My departure date is more or less set but I'm not sure when I'll return to the US. I'm just wondering if I'd have any problems entering Turkey with a one-way plane ticket, not a round trip ticket. Hopefully this is a silly question and there wouldn't be any problem with this. I hope that I'll get my NOA2 within the next few months so we have also have our interview in the summer while we are together!

Congrats again Jenn! Gil/Pel: I have a friend from work go through this 2 or 3 times, but it had to do with the actual prints not being very readable, so she had to do them 2 or 3 times as her fingerprints are very faint on her fingertips (strange I know)...don't know if this your problem?

i think that is what my problem is too... :crying: cause the letter says they can't process my finger print card.so i am guessing it is not readable in my case too :(it seemed just fine to me when the guy took my fingerprints tho...I hope I won't have to go there again after this one :(aahhhhh.... it is getting too hard to be patient...

I will have to ask my co-worker what they finally did about hers. She had virtually 0 fingerprints...it was calloused off! :)) I do know she got her citizenship after it all though.

Hmmm. It has been four weeks and I still haven't received my Social Security card. I received my welcome letter but that's it. There isn't a whole lot we can do until I get my SS and Greencard in the mail. I can't even get my driver's license yet until our marriage license and birth cert. are translated by a state run school. I thought having to get an International marriage license translated, when the English translations are already in the back, was kind of a silly requirement. So once we get the translations back I can at least get my license.

My wife's bank won't even add me to her account until we get those documents back. So of course we can't even begin looking for work either. <_<

You should check with the social security office to see if there is a problem. My husband had a similar thing happen to him and it turns out the SS card was lost in the mail...they had to send out another one. It shouldn't take 4 weeks....
