Tourist Visa while on K1 Process

I know you people have had experiences, we just started our process and just the thought of being apart another 6 months drives me insane. If i try to go visit him will i be denied? Because it costs money to apply for a tourist visa, i don't want to waste money and/or time applying for something i have no chances to succeed.

I have heard that the embassy uses to deny tourist visas when they know you have your fiance/fiancee in the States. I know you get desperate during the process, i have been there too, but my fiance went to visit me every 2 months more less, so that helped a lot. I think its better if he travels to see you, besides that helps with the visa too because during the interview its common that they ask how many times your fiance has visited you? I would agree with the previous poster.... I think it's much safer for your fiance to visit you.

Even though you may have no problems entering the U.S., once they are told that you have a K-1 Visa pending, they might want lots of proof that you have strong ties to your home country and that you will return home after your visit to the U.S. But, it is totally up to the officer's discretion, whether or not they want to let you into the U.S. at that point. I had no problems when I entered the U.S. from Canada after our K-1 was pending, but Canada does not require visitor visas, just proof of identity.

We all know too well how you feel about being separated so long from your loved one. Try to be patient, and maybe talk to your fiance about him coming to see you instead.

thank you both. He left just over a month ago, but it seems like forever. I just can't wait to hold him in my arms again. So if this process starts taking too long maybe he can come see me again, we're trying to save money tho, this whole K1, AOS process is expensive for us, plus he has his job, he can't leave friday night and come back sunday night, if he comes he has to stay at least a week, otherwise it's not worthy. Maybe better for us just to wait til i get my visa and then we will have forever together. I just can't wait
