hahaha!! :help: I feel so silly I feel like :crying: Thank you for answering my dumb question :thumbs::thumbs: I should take a chill pill.

Please don't feel stupid!!!

Congratulations to you :)

LOL thank you!! :lol: Congratualtions to you too ;)

If you consider yourself a "wifetobe" then you are engaged. Everybody is engaged before they are married, even if it only for the transit time from the Casino to the Las Vegas wedding chapel. :yes:
:thumbs::lol: :lol: :lol::thumbs:

Or, I guess, for as long as it takes the bride's shotgun toting father to get you in front of the preacher man. :yes:

:lol::lol::no: chance

There's a lot about this process that gets us tied in knots. Don't feel stupid just because we had a little fun with your question.

When I filed our papers as a newlywed, I'd been so accustomed to not having a wife, I answered "none" for the name of my wife on the G325a and the same for her husband on hers. I got a laugh out of that when I noticed too. I suspect you had a specific idea of what an "engagement" was and just didn't have your head around the more general idea. Brains are tricky little devils.

Facts are cheap...knowing how to use them is precious...

That's just want I thought. You are "Wifetobe" but not engaged? Sounds pretty attached to me! :lol::lol::lol:

Hi VJs

I hope this is the right section to classify my concern.. Basically I consulted a lawyer for our petition and upon reviewing my letter of how we met and when we intend to get married etc. my lawyer amended the letter by inserting 'we recently got engaged' but we are not officially engaged that states it on paper or anything else. Will the USCIS want to see evidence of our engagement? We are not engaged we just want to get married! Am I worrying for nothing? I'm sure the lawyer knows what he's doing but thought I'd ask you guys first. I've left him a message to contact me back so any responses would be great.

Happy new year and all the best for 2008!

Cheers.
