I received a letter from CSC on 29th of December 2007. The letter say I-797 Notice of Action. I dont understand what I-797 means. Though in the letter it stated that my conditional resident has been extended for another one year. And that in other to further process my application, i will be receiving an application suport center (ASC) appointment notice with a specific time, date, and location to capture my fingerprints, photo and signature.

Though at the top of the letter it show my receipt number, and my case type which is I-751. Please i need some answer? Is that an extion letter .

Thank you

The Notice of Action you received is extending your conditional GC for one year, with work and travel authorization. This allows you to stay in status while your I-751 (10 yr GC) is being processed.

You will receive an appointment letter for your fingerprints shortly, giving you the date, time and place to go have them done.

Then, you will wait until they have approved your case, and then you will receive your 10 yr GC.

Good luck.

And to possibly extend a driver's license and anything else that was set to expire when your two year green card did.

Life's just a crazy ride on a run away train

You can't go back for what you've missed

So make it count, hold on tight find a way to make it right

You only get one trip

So make it good, make it last 'cause it all flies by so fast

You only get one trip
