It's funny, cause she tells me that in her interview, they asked for next to nothing in terms of all the proof we were ready to provide.

So London strikes once again as the lax embassy :P

But who cares, we have a real wedding to finish planning, and then oh God, I kinda dread AOS -_-

The Very Secret Diary of Legolas Son of Weenus - by Cassandra Claire

Day One: Went to Council of Elrond. Was prettiest person there. Agreed to follow some tiny little man to Mordor to throw ring into volcano. Very important mission - gold ring so tacky.

Day Six: Far too dark in Mines of Moria to brush hair properly. Am very afraid I am developing a tangle.

Orcs so silly.

Still the prettiest.

Day 35: Boromir dead. Very messy death, most unnecessary. Did get kissed by Aragorn as he expired. Does a guy have to get shot full of arrows around here to get any action? Boromir definitely not prettier than me. Cannot understand it. Am feeling a pout coming on.

Frodo off to Mordor with Sam. Tiny little men caring about each other, rather cute really.

Am quite sure Gimli fancies me. So unfair. He is waist height, so can see advantages there, but chunky braids and big helmet most off-putting. Foresee dark times ahead, very dark times.

Thanks guys, you know I really still don't believe it's over (it isn't really - still have the medical) but I don't know. I've been doing all different kinds of immigration paperwork for over a year. 3 separate applications. Plus research and organising for getting married (it was a very administrative affair). When the CO insisted that my oH do his tax return I returned to work and started figuring that stuff out. And then I realised, that paperwork is just something everyone does, every year. And the forms don't really change, so once you've got the hang of it, it's more or less like telling a nOOb not to sign the DS-230 part 2 ( ;) ) easy!! And of course there's removal of conditions. But I've still got all my copies of stuff from all 3 applications, and stuff I might need and stuff I'll never need, but I'm keeping anyway. And it occured to me today that once I have the visa in hand I can shred 80% of it. No longer necessary.

I don't know what to make of it. It's over???? :o

I know! Part of me felt a little sad... is that sick?!?!? I mean - this whole process has been such an integral part of my life that it feels weird to not have it anymore - sure there is the AOS, removing conditions, citizenship and all that jazz... but it's not the same! Never again am I going to be able to complain about how hard it is to be without Jeremy...

Ah well - guess I can complain about living with him when it happens instead
