They seem to schedule interviews based on anticipated travel dates listed on the check list. I suspect we'll see the April calendar fill up a bit more.

Filed: K-1 Visa Country: Scotland
Timeline

Got the visa delivered to me this morning. Even though I was told I would personally have to sign for it as well as provide some form of identification, my mother signed for it and that was that.

Included are all the forms and paperwork that the Embassy kept hold of. Also the medical paperwork as well as the psychiatric report.

I'm hazy on the procedure of entering the states. What line do I join in customs? Foreign or citizen? Am I a 'non immigrant' or 'immigrant'? That still confuses me as some of the forms I had to complete say 'non immigrant' on them

I'm aware that I have to take the envelope given to me at the interview on to the plane with me, but I'm not sure if the same applies to the paperwork they just returned to me today (including psychiatric report). I'd rather avoid a lot of questioning on this psychiatric report if possible, but I guess I will take that stuff on the carry on luggage should they ask for it.

You only need to hand in the unopened envelope to immigrations.

My fiance (at the time) went through the foreign citizens line, which is what you should do too!

I know that feeling all too well. No matter what Kris can't get here till June 5th at the earliest but we would love to get everything over and done with so we can just concentrate on getting things together for his move

Dear VJ

I never knew you allowed such filth to be posted on your site. Every fine-thinking person knows full well the efficiency of USCIS workers, and to read such claptrap posted about them offends my delicate sensibilities. I am a long-time reader and contributor, but I feel moved to tell you I am cancelling my subscription forthwith.

it says so many times not to buy a plane ticket. but I seem to think that having a travel date gets you a quicker interview date. is this true? and do they frown on already bought plane tickets? We just got packet 3 and are sending it back tomorrow an am debating weather or not to put a anticipated travel date in.

Just because you tell them you have an anticpated travel date doesn't mean you have to have actually purchased plane tickets. Its just the date you anticipate to travel.
