VJ members,

Our K1 NOA2 was approved on October 29, and November 21 our petition was sent to US Consulate in Montreal. Emailed them 3 weeks back and they replied saying they are sending packet 3. It is 1 month since US consulate received our papers and 2 months since NOA2 was approved.

Sent another email a week ago, and no reply from US consulate and don't believe I will get any reply.

I am thinking of sending them a fax with hope they may email me with a response. Has anyone faxed for status and has anyone received any reply for a fax requesting status? Does anyone know their fax number?

Thanks.

Peter

Usually your petition is sent to NVC before it goes to the US Consulate in Montreal. Did you receive a file number that begins with MTL? If not you need to contact the NVC in New Hampshire (603-334-0700) to obtain your file number.

After you have your case number, you can email MTL with the case number to find out about your packet 3.

I have my case number from Montreal that starts with MTL. But Montreal replied on December 12 they will be sending packet 3, but it is almost 3 weeks since they said they will send it.

Thanks.

Peter.

Hello Peter,

Hmmmm...very strange.

I had an ongoing relationship with "Operator Number Five" at the Montreal Consulate via email.

They were quite quick with responses to my questions.

First I'd get that silly auto response that is aggravating, and then the actual response.

What email address have you used?

Try this one:

"Montreal, IV" <Montreal-IV-DV@state.gov>

Good luck!

SpiritAlight edits due to extreme lack of typing abilities. :)

You will do foolish things.

Do them with enthusiasm!!

Don't just do something. Sit there.
