my passport expired last November... can't really afford to renew it right now :unsure:

It's such a pain, isn't it? I like the American and British passports..... they're issued for 10 years instead of five.

and they are a lot easier to obtain... no darn guarantors to worry about :P

The guarantor thing is silly. I was just talking to a few people yesterday about passports (prompted by this thread) and the Yanks I mentioned it to were very confused as to why that is part of the process. Especially on renewals, considering we got one the first time.

Sigh.

yeah, all you have to do is fill out the form, go to a passport place which are usually located in the post office... they will take your picture, collect your money and the form and send it off for you and you just have to wait for your passport...
