I read on the NVC web site, e-mail is their preferred method of contact. I included all case information in my subject and message. Anyone know the typical response time and what it is?

I emailed two months ago and never got replied....

I have emailed them twice, and Natasha has emailed them once. My first email got a response in about 10 calendar days, as did Natasha's request. My second email hasn't been responded to yet (but it has been less than 10 calendar days so far).

And, I agree with what I assume you're thinking! One of my pet peeves (ok, it's more of a life partner instead of a pet) are companies that advertise a strong web/email presence, and then obviously handle web and email requests for support only when they have nothing better to do.

Yep, my thought is if e-mail is your preferred method, a 24 to 48 (even 72) hour response should be normal. Ten days plus? That seems like. "When we get around to it."

Thanks for the response! I wanted to check and see if the've received our petition yet. I am no fan of busy signals and long waits for CSRs. I can wait 10 days or so to see what's up.

Only use e-mail if you're filing for a CR1/IR1 visa and need to choose your agent. Other than that, don't be bashful and call them everyday if you want to because you can waste precious time waiting for them to reply to your e-mail.

I can't spend countless minutes redialing or on hold. I have zero patience with that. Too expensive and undesirable. I'm only curious as to whether they've received my petition of not. I can wait for the e-mail or the notice in the mail when it's past their level of handling.

hi,

I got their reply after 25 days... since they didnt encash my 380$ check...... God knows how many days they take these days to reply.. i guess it will be more than 3 weeks if they think they need to reply
