Photos as proof of relationship/meeting

Thanks again for everyone who has helped me so far. I do have another question.

When including photos as proof of meeting and/or ongoing relationship when filing the I-129F, what are the rules regarding this? I planned on printing out the photos in a word document. Is this ok, or should i get copies from a developer? Should I name and date them and explain where we are?

Any help is much appreciated. Thanks!!!!!!!

Agreed. I would save them to a disk and go to any photo developing place and get them printed out on real picture paper. Write the names in of who is in the picture, the date and where it was taken.

We only sent 6 pictures - but from over the years.

I wrote our names, the location, and date on the back.

I'm in the other camp. Printing an array on full size paper through MS Word allows for captions and better organization of your package.

Caution though. Pictures are only secondary evidence of meeting in person. You'll need primary evidence too. I'd save all but a page or two of photographs for the interview, where the MS Word array is also perfectly appropriate. Only the passport photos are actually required with the petition filing anyway.

Also it helps to have the photos time stamped where you set your camera to print the time/date on the photos My camera doesn't have that option

My fiance made a 4-pages photo album, each of the pages contains 4 pictures. He put details in every picture and also the date when it was taken. Actually, he selcted pictures during his visits and made a short description of when/where it was taken. He used a not-so-thick photopaper in printing. It actually save us space and it was not that bulky. We didn't encounter any problem at USCIS about it. They have approved our petition already.

My lawyer didn't send the real pictures instead he copied them on a letter sized paper and mailed them do you think I will get an RFE?

Since all our photos were digital I used the online service shutterfly and had it include the date/time stamp on the back. Then I used a felt pen to write a brief description, including who's who, on the back.

Of course our petition is still in processing so who knows whether this actually will work.

I think you should be fine either way, actually. As someone mentioned, photographs of you together are only secondary evidence. There are couples here who have been approved after handling it both ways, and there is at least one who was approved without sending photos at all.

I just went to Wal-Mart and got 5 pictures copied, wrote our names and dates on the back and sent them off!

FWIW, we were approved with only one picture, and her face was cut off at the chin and she was wearing dark glasses! The primary evidence is most important.

We included a few "professionally" printed photos. I wrote the names of eah person in the picture, the date and location where the photo was taken. We were approved a few weeks ago.

Definitely rely on your primary evidence, such as copies of passports showing entry stamps. Also, copies of boarding passes are good. Good luck!

I color copied ours, 2 to a page, wrote names, dates, places, etc.
