I'm confused on the affidavit of support that we as the supporter are supposed to complete. Is this a form that we can download directly from the web site and complete on our own? And then after completing it I know we must take it to a notary here in the US, and then also include tax returns, W2's etc...... What I'm confused about is after we have taken it to a notary here in the US what do we do with it? Do we send it to the USCIS here in the states, or do we send it to our fiance so they can take it with them to the interview? Because I noticed that in his interwiew he is to bring the info. for how he will be supported in the US ???? I'm so confused, I hope someone out there can answer all my questions......

Send it to your fiance so that they can take it to the interview. You want to have it dated as close to the interview as possible.

You can download it from here or the USCIS website and complete the info. A sample form is available on this website that shows you how to fill it out. Then get it notarized as close to the interview date as you can like Zee stated, and send it to your SO along with your tax return, and a letter from your employer stating your job, your status, and how much you earn. Your SO needs these things to take with them to their interview.

Unless an original of any document is specifically requested, copies are acceptable.

YMMV

Yep, I really messed up and didn't make a copy of the I 129f packet before sending it off (before finding VJ). Would just sending my love the original supporting docs and copy of NOA2 be sufficent?

Thanks,

Wyatt

2007-07-19: I-129F Sent

2007-07-24: Received and pending (from online check with reiciept # off back of check)

2007-09-24: Called for status since I never recieved NOA1. Given referal number with instructions to call again if nothing changes in 30 days.

2007-11-10: NOA 1 Recieved! Stated that address was "corrected"!?!

What would be considered sufficient is to send her at a minimum exactly what the consulate requests per there document checklist... If it includes the aforementioned then so be it.... Our document checklist however, requested nothing from the I-129F package or the NOA2, so therefore I did not send it... The suggestion to provide the I-129F package is strictly CYA in nature to hopefully avoid the unexpected.

YMMV
