I really don't know what is going on between you two(nor do I care) but I hate to see people slammed on the board.... I wish the judgments and snide comments would stop. If someone trust another with personal trials/problems its not there right to post it all over a public forum, even if there was a falling out. We are here for support, at least I am! I think the world outside has enough harshness and insensitivity.

This type of incident makes you think if you can really share with others, in private or on the boards, without it being spread all over or thrown back in your face. Why the judgemenet? We all have issues we deal with on a daily basis and unless you are without, which no one I know is, then stop the maddness. Really, if your realtionship with your SO is perfect, in your mind, then you might want to look in your own mirror before slamming others.

I personally cannot support a marriage where the woman is physically abused by her 20 something husband, only to have the wife come to VJ to publically announce that her husband got his Greencard and how they made it through without the government finding out he was in jail FOR HITTING HER. I am one of few people here who is not afraid to say what I think, even if people like you don't agree. I will not support others if I think that what they're doing is wrong or ridiculous. One would have to be sick to congratulate an abusive husband on his greencard when he should never even have it.

I can tell that you, like many others here like to wear your blinders and offer support and positive feedback at all times. Sometimes things aren't always positive. It really makes me shake my head when you and others tell me that we shouldn't talk about anything negative and if I cannot be supportive, then I shouldn't post. Grow up!

You don't have to support it or think it's alright, I agree with that. You can say what you feel and you may feel like you are helping that person by not being positive all the time, I understand that. people change... life changes..... maybe someone had problems and they worked through it maybe they didn't, thats thier own life lesson...... It happens and who has the right to judge that ... everyone has hard times in life, they must get through and get on with it.... throwing the past in peoples faces is just mean spirited not about the freedom to post your comments

yes.... my laughing smiley was snide.... my bad, sorry for the contradiction, I just hate to see all the meanness and 99.9 of the time I just ignore it but enough is enough, i'm sure it limits how secure people feel to post if they feel anything that is being worked through will be thrown in their face at a later date...

I guess I just do not understand why you feel you need to post anything. She never asked you to support or accept her in any way in her response to someone else. Sometimes I just get the feeling you like to be mean to others to make yourself feel better or more powerful or something.
