I think our files have fallen behind a vending machine or something! Maybe a cat snuck in the middle of the night and dragged it to some dark hidden hole behind a sheet rock wall. I Should have put a GPS on the packet so I could at least watch it sit there! lol Oh well another week of waiting........... :crying:

I know the feeling. It sure sucks waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and....... MORE waiting!!!

My poor wife cries herself to sleep everyday.....VSC pisses me off for the torture it inflicts on people!

I dont know about you, I am passed the "pissed off" point, I am now going through deep hatred....

Here is my story. I've lived problem free life, payed my taxes. One day I decided to marry this girl. But to do so would require her to come to US of A, and so it started. My problem free live turned in to free problems from USCIS! Sure things turned to unsure, certain dates turned to aproximation within months. All logical thinking was out the door, as I filed my papers withing famous Vermont Centre!

Before I filed for my wife I went to the immigration office to ask questions of how to do things and was told that it will take about a year to get an approval if everything was fine. But by reading in the forum I we got excited because there were people being approved in less than a year. Well, I don't know if these people are telling the truth but looks like it is going to be a year for us which are December filers. I share the frustration with all of you and more so because we are an elderly couple and have just a few years to share our happiness together.

We too are of the older generation and even one day apart is forever when your spouse is past retirement age!!!!!

BAD NEWS! :(

Neetu told me this morning that she got a letter from the US Consulate in Delhi stating that her interview, originally scheduled for July 9th, had been postponed to July 16th ... No reason is specified as per what she told me ... It just said that she is not to show up on the 9th and has to go on the 16th now ...

ONE MORE WEEK ADDED TO WHEN I CAN SEE MY JAAN! :(

She's gonna call the embassy on Monday and see if this is all updated in their system (i.e., the new date) and whether there's a reason ... as to whether we can do anything about it, I doubt it ...

I called the NVC but they had the 9th on their info ... I think this is a unilateral change by the US Consulate in Delhi after the date was previously given....

What crappy luck, huh?

Our approved 129F for K3 was sent to the NVC on 5/12/08 and was randomly selected to go through Administrative Processing. OK. Well, it has been almost 6 weeks and we are still in AP. Of course, when I call they say there is no timeframe for AP. My only source of information is to call once a week and see if there is any movement. I am sitting here watching most other K3's flying through the NVC to the embassies and here we are WAITING, AGAIN. Now, this wouldn't be so bad but from what I understand 99.9% of male applicants from Pakistan go through AP after interview. So we will have to go through AP twice? Great !! :clock::clock::clock::clock::clock::clock:

Does it do any good to call to check on status? From I have read I see that some people call, but does it help any. As all of you, we are December filers and all we got to show for is one lonely touch which is when they sent us the NOA1.

If you call the 800 number, all they tell you is what you already know on the website regarding the processing time. I still call just to let them know I'm disappointed with the system every once in a while, don't think its working though as we are still waiting!!

I hate the stupid, unfair, unorganized process and I hate them for putting all of us in an emotional and physical turmoil.

Chet:

You've said a mouth full. I worked all my life in a pharmaceutical company where everything is clean and very organized or else we are in trouble, but these people are so unorganized, lazy, and stealing taxpayer's money sitting around doing nothing. I don't see why if a person meets all the required criteria, just approve it and go to the next case. I feel that all these people working with this project are incompetent to do the job.

E-mail!

It sucks...I thought the Murphy's law was going to strike when I bought my tickets to Russia. Then we thought it was going to strike when my wife bought tickets to come to Saint Petersburg where we'd stay with my family. No such luck. I'm tired of waiting for Murphy's law. Maybe it'll happen as soon as I get into the plane in 2 weeks.
