A "What If" Question

I sent my I-130 packet off and I did get back the postal return receipt but oddly it was blank...meaning no one stamped or signed for it. I didn't think too much about it and I know my 129F is in the system because I got the NOA1 with a case number.

But...'m very paranoid and mistrusting of the USCIS from all the horror stories, so I'm seeing problems that may not and probably do not exist.

Anyway...what would happen if my 130 is lost or misplaced, etc but the 129F proceeds along?

Also, can i just call USCIS and ask if they have my I-130 without a case number?

I'd call them with the I-129F case number and ask them to confirm whether they have the I-130.

As Pushbrk said, you should phone USCIS and enquire about your I130.

If they did not have your I130 on file, they should have returned your I129F to you with the reason that "there is no underlying I130". The fact that they've entered the I129F into their system should be a positive sign... but after being in this process so long, I wouldn't put anything past USCIS.

It's always better to ask than to be left wondering, especially while on this journey.
