Can I Staple the Docs together??

Ok I am ready to send off my docs. But I don't know and can't find how you actually send the info. Can I staple them or should I say what is the preferred way to put them in the envelope. Thanks!

Not a good idea to staple.

In preparing your packet, please take note of the following:

• Do not use binders or folders that cannot be easily disassembled.

• Use ACCO fasteners to hold together thick or bulky applications or petitions. Two-hole punching the top of the material for easy placement in the file is appreciated.

• The use of tabs assist in locating items listed as attachments. The tabs should be placed on the bottom and not the side for ease in filing.

• Avoid using heavy-duty staples; instead use ACCO fasteners or heavy clips.

• Avoid submitting originals unless specifically required. Avoid submitting oversized documentation when possible.

Ok define Big Clips. I just went to walmart and they don't have any. The nearest staples ect is 30 min away. I bought big rings. Can I use them?

Big Binder Clip works too, anything that is easy to remove, the 2 hole ACCO fastener is recommended because USCIS uses the 2 holes to bind the case into a folder at the service center.

Well I mailed them. I had a big clip that I fastened them with, with the check on top. I sent it registered mail. Its all together.

Funny thing is I called USCIS and they told me that they don't know how or what the clips are that are recommended. That I should contact a professional person, ie a lawyer to ask. LOL. I said I'm not using any lawyer. I just have a simple question. Who can I call and ask? They said sorryyyyyy. Shesh..idiots!!

Well, our evidence was so many pages that I went through it and stapled each seperate individual piece of evidence together (like each tax return) so that the pages would stay together... then I fastened the whole packet with a binder clip that was JUST big enough. If they don't like it, tough! I doubt they'll deny my application just because I used a few garden-variety staples...
