Hey yah all!! To those who have attended the CFO seminar...

I'm curious if I will be needing a parent's consent during my seminar?

I was 23 yo when I got married. Birthdate August 29, 1985 and now I'm 24.

What do you think people?

Thanks!

Thanks so much junebride and bmtrrbt for the responses.. Yeah I think I need to have a parent consent and have it notarized.

Do you think bringing my mom during the interview can be a substitute? I may sound dumb, but I ask it anyway hehe...

For those who might be reading this post in the future.

To make myself clear and based from other vj members experience. (25 below yo)

You can bring your mom or dad during your CFO SEMINAR, well kung gusto nyo silang isama AND U DON'T HAVE CONSENT LETTER, bringing them with their valid ID, RIGHT THERE AND THEN, YOUR MOM CAN TELL! TESTIFY! CFO PERSONNEL THAT YES!! IM ALLOWING MY DAUGHTER. THAT'S WHAT I MEANT WITH THE "SUBSTITUTE" AND NOT ME TO BE SUBSTITUTED BY A FAMILY MEMBER DURING THE CONSUL INTERVIEW COZ THAT WOULD BE SO LAME!SO CRAZY!!CMON EMBASSY WONT ALLOW ANY PROXY!!! GRAMMAR ERROR LANG PASENSYA NA!!!!

Is it also true that for beneficiary 21 years and younger, at USEM Embassy Interview, that one parent must also be present at the interview? Or is this just a false rumor?

Rumor.

My wife did the USEM Interview and CFO last year at age 20.

The USEM only cares if she is over 18 years old

CFO wanted Parental Consent form.

These kind of comments amuse me, as they usually are rooted in envy. If a friend says them in jest and good humor, then fine. Otherwise, it's stupid and unoriginal. There's nothing wrong with divorced middle age men, who got bored with the old american nag hag bag, and wanted to spice things up in life with a sweet, young loving filipina. Pffft!

Ok, well somewhere last year I swear I read that embassy requires one parent present for 21 and below. Oh well, mom will be close by anyways holding the cell phone outside, hehe. Thx.
