crying.gif I need advice,i was shocked when i recieved my BC from the NSO today..they issued my "old registration" Usually when i request my BC before they issued my second registration.

I happened to have double BC registration..My first one is mistake of my parents that they put me as a Male with a male name..so they thot they will corrected it by again registered me last yr. 2000 with a new name that im using since i was born..I called the NSo and they inform me that i will go to my civil registry in the province to request them to cancel my first registration. And later when the cancellation recieve by the NSO, i will verify them if i can use second registration. My question is, how long this process? coz i'm worried i have my interview this coming nov. 16.. crying.gif Is anybody here has a case of double registration??

Hoping for an answers...Godbless!

what NSO told you is correct. as to how long, it depends on how fast you act on it. there is a formal process for that that could involve a court proceeding (it depends on what your situation is) . it would help if you have a insider friend at the local registry to make things fast.

call your local civil registrar right away

What NSO told you was correct but it will take longer. You can't just go to your province and have them change it right away, it involves more than that. I have mine changed too but mine was my first name. My advice, go there and process it right away.

Bring what you have on your interview and explain to them what happened. Don't forget to bring proofs that you processed it already.

i dont remember how long it took me to get the new registration.. if im not mistaken, 1 month siguro.. had to deal with the municipal thingy and stuff and then they forwarded it in manila.. thats the waiting time there, the "forwarding stuff" from local registry to national registry.

Since they no longer have Document Verification, I think you will be fine.

My fiance had a double registration of BC.

If you have your correct one, just bring it to USEM and you should be fine.

I was told to correct the problem could take 1 to 2 months by NSO.

Hi,
I have almost same experience as yours. check this.http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=225909&st=0&p=3447782&#entry3447782

By the way i was advised by the staff in the NSO that everytime i request for a birth certificate, i attach a photocopy of the correct birth certificate in NSO paper so they can retrieve it from file and print it. Hope this helps
