passport with visa and CFO sticker
- visa packet

that's all the CBP folk will look at.

I do suggest you bring additional birth certificates, you'll need them in the USA, but no need to show them at the POE.

I have a follow-up question: Will they open the X-ray CD envelope or will they just look if I have it with me? unsure.gif
PhiLandShiR
They will not look at the CD but make sure you ask for it cause it yours to keep.

Also maks sure you get any transcripts from college. If you plan to go to school here you will need them.

How many 'packets' do you have from the consulate ?

If ONLY ONE - then the xray is inside of it, along with the medical stuff, and the petition, along with notes written on it.
CBP are supposed to TAKE IT, but if the xray is seperate (you've got it on a CD? that's something newish ) then by all means, make sure they TAKE IT on POE.

Otherwise, you'll be hanging on to it till the next AOS/ROC meeting/interview...

Oh - this is waaaaaaaaaaaaay optional... Got a favorite GSM phone? Bring it, swap out the sim card for ATT or TMobile in the USA...

I also suggest two extra pair of ladies undergarments in your carry on bag, and some small thing of deodorant..

Dried fish? Just go to oriental store or any asian store u can find dried fish there....

Hi. I also have a question.

I will be traveling to the US (Texas as my final destination) on 12th Manila to LAX nonstop. I am well aware that I already paid my Phil travel tax together with my ticket that I purchased from a travel agency here in the Phils, only the terminal fee left

But

I have another separate ticket from LAX to IAH (houston), my question is, do I need to pay any travel taxes or terminal fees too at LAX airport before I board for the next plane for Houston?

Any and all terminal and security fees are already included in the price of your Houston Tix. Unless, you want to give a hobo a dollar so he can get a beer! laughing.gif

If you plan on getting a job and have gone to Univ might be a good idea to bring a transcript with you.

I have 2 more follow up questions: 1) I'm planning to bring some of my favorite music CDs (original, of course!) in my luggage. Do they have a restriction on the number of CDs you can bring?; 2) Is it ok if I bring burned CDs/DVDs containing personal digital pictures? blink.gif

Again, thanks in advance! smile.gif
