Called NVC today and was told our petition was sent to embassy yesterday- Oct 26th. Does anyone know how long it takes now for the Interview and where to go and what the address is to get the police certificate in Kiev?

Thanks

Normally takes 2-3 weeks to get to the consulate and get entered in the system. The call center cannot make an appointment for an interview until it is in the system. Go to the main police station in Kiev. That is where they are usually done. If it is not there, they will tell you where. she will need a copy of her internal passport, birth certificate and 2 passport photos for the police certificate. Three weeks is the normal processing time for one, she may be able to expedite that, if possible, she will know how. The police certificate also needs to be translated.

Just as an FYI, this is the UK forum smile.gif Posting further queries (look how British I sound!) would be answered better in the Russia/Ukraine forum.

Good Morning! Called DoS they told me the embassy in Kiev received electronic version of paperwork but havent recieved the hard copy yet. Is that mean that we can schedule an interview or not ? Thanks for a reply

Same question - but someone please for Moscow rather than Kiev. My packet left NVC on Oct 22 but still the embassy says not received (I am guessing it is actually there someplace but not processed into their system). How long does this part generally take? Will they expedite interviews for people who have been waiting longer since Noa-1? Do I need to hound them with weekly e-mails since they are slow in updating the website? Or will I just p- them off and get a later interview?

More than a little anxious and impatient about all of this . . .
