I have never been rich. Does that mean I am poor?

Some people get dealt shitty hands. I am a poker player. It's how you play the cards that matters. But if you are standing on an off ramp begging for money, sorry, I got no sympathy for you.

You don't really need 3 meals a day. And you don't really need healthcare, you have God's own universal health plan - your immune system.

That comes in handy when you are dumpster diving. Food shouldn't be a problem in the US. That is one thing there seems to be an abundance of. The food banks here can't seem to give it all away.
w¡n9Nµ7 §£@¥€r
Exactly. So we already have universal healthcare and starvation has already been solved. No wonder we're worried about gay marriage.

'Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. 35For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.'

37"Then the righteous will answer him, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?'

40"The King will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.'

It needed a final choice. - It doesn't matter if your poor or rich as long as you have the choice to do with what little or how much money you have.

We are citizens by choice and part of being a citizen is professing your allegiance to the flag, as well as abide by our laws. That's not enforcement...that's called choice. Anyone who doesn't want to profess their allegiance to the flag or refuses to abide by our laws is welcome to leave. Freedom is a beautiful thing.

It takes the kick out of whining about being taxed by force when you know you are free to be an ex-pat, living anywhere else.

Read about the Whiskey Rebellion of 1794. According to your logic, President Washington was a fascist for taxing American farmers.

Really? The "love it or leave it" argument? You're getting desperate, man.

Applying the same logic to poverty,

"Anyone who doesn't want to be poor is welcome to get a better job. Freedom is a beautiful thing."

Fascist or not, using military force to exert authority over the country's citizens is nothing to be proud of, to be sure.

I suppose he was a commie! ROFLOL!

My family in law is one who had a bad hand dealt to them...no food poor. My goal is to get back to school and add more initials (and mo money) so I can pull em out.

At least over there, your very skin color can be enough to keep you poor; seen it enough and didn't like it.

They're good, honest, hard working people very sensitive about spending a penny on anything not needed. They've got some good ideas to get out of the hole (best money spent is regenerative-something that will continue to pay)....like small business, school for anyone school aged (they're going to medical school if I can help it..it's so cheap over there)!

Yeah! If you're from Asia and you have dark skin....get light skin and get a job, dammit! Ladies not high enough pay? Get a sex change for God's sake!

In the 1800's why didn't they just speak differently and "decide" not to be slaves...what's the matter with everyone? They all chose it, didn't they?

Love it or leave it...your race, your life situation, and all you know even though the world may know more.

It's really just a choice! I decided this evening, I'm full blooded Jewish (for the blessings) and Native American (just because I wanna have a cool animal name)
