As suggested by dbears, I am posting it here in the Philippine region forum.

Hello People!

Had I known prior to my interview date there is forum such as this, perhaps my visa would have been on hand a week after my interview. My fiance filed for I129F on July 2/07; approved on Nov 2. Interview sched on Feb 8.
After the interview, I was told to pay the courier fee of Php165 and 650 for docs verification. I read in the website that it is strongly suggested that a document verification fee of Php650 must be paid in order to avoid 1-2 weeks delay in visa release. I thought the instruction was for those with delayed birth registratrion. Mine is ok so i didn't pay prior to interview. My mistake. I have just visited this forum this morning, it was discussed several times. I notice those who paid were given their visas in less than 5 days. Can somebody please tell me if I am on AR because of this docs verification routine. My documents are complete but the white paper i got that says "unable to complete processing of your visa application...." "WHAT TO DO NEXT:" has a checked mark on the last item that says "When you have ALL the required documents marked above,....." the guy in window 37 said I need not come back, the verified docs will be sent to the Embassy. He said my visa will be delivered, the question is WHEN? I hope and pray I get it before airfare is increased on March 15. I am posting this so that others may learn from my mistake of ignoring important announcements. I could have called the embassy call center then. Hope to hear from you July batchmates.

I paid the verification fee 5 weeks before my interview(feb 7). After interview the consul said I was approved and in window 37 they gave me my appointment letter and pink slip then paid P165 for visa delivery.

Till now, no visa yet.

Same here...
My fiance interviewed on Feb 7. The CO stated "everything is Ok" , she was given her appointment letter and pink slip and paid Delbros the visa delivery fee. As of today...wala visa.

We paid for the documentation verification and received confirmation from Delbros on Jan 25. Delbros confirmed they did forward the request to the NSO on January 28.

I've telephoned the call center, daily. Thier reply...

Document verification received and the CO picked up the file on Feb 11 for final review and processing, this can take as little as a couple of days or up to six weeks.

It does not help the process when there are only 4 working days per week since the interview. The staff has been out on the 13th, 18th and now the 25th.

Based on the posts I have read, it appears more emphasis being placed on visa pick-up to satisfy the petitioner's request. A smaller amount have posted receiving Delbros delivery within the first 10 days of the interview.

My fiance and I video chat daily, aside from beating up the USEM, we are running out of things to talk about. Hopefully, this is the week for some psoitive topics biggrin.gif

Thank you guys. It helps to hear from others in the same situation. Well, there are things beyond our control. I didn't know waiting for the visa release could be more toxic than petition approval. I was prepared to wait for 4-6 months then, and we were approved in less than 4 months. I told my fiance we are caught in the web of volume of applicants to process and make decision. I hope to hear positive results this week. Thanks again and good luck to all of us.

i was worried about this verification of documents before im really confused of my situation during that time. Because of my birth certificate there was a changes or remarks on it. i have heard and read that it needs to pay 650 pesos before the interview. so decided not to pay the 650 for verification cause i was worried during their verifications in NSO bec. the new birth certificate i got dont have remarks of the changes of my name. bec. it takes many years for NSO to encode in the computer about 5 years. my interview date feb. 7, 08, after my interview i paid to the delbros. after 5 working days i tried to sent text message to the delbros, then i got a reply that my number or visa is in transit to cebu. my visa arrived in cebu on feb 13. i pick up my visa at their office on feb. 14, 2008.

Good for you Frank. I'm glad you got your visa. See this one classic example. We both paid on the day of our interview. My BC and Cenomar are ok, no late birth registration and no changes in name. While yours have corrections/remarks. I live in Metro Manila and you're from Cebu. Your visa was delivered one week after.
Again, I'm happy for you. Best of luck on your trip.

My experience is similar to your's Manila...
Petition approved in less than 4 months and the interview accomplished within 6 1/2 months of filing.
All required US paperwork completed accurately and associated, clear, Filipino documents were obtained within 45 days of the interview. My fiance also lives within the Manila area.

Hi! I just called the embassy today and Ms. Grace told me that my visa is for send out.
I suggest that you also call the embassy and ask about the status of your visa. Who knows, your visa is on the way too.

Try calling early in the morning. I called around 8:30 am and got no problem. I also made my fiance called them through their IV hotline. He paid 18$ for the pin, but not much info was given.

Hi Guys!

I called the USEM at the end of the week, I remember the reply was:

1 week after interview - documents for verification
2nd week - case under review
3rd week - still in process

with variations like, please try to call after 6 weeks from the date of your interview.

Nakakataba maghintay ah laughing.gif
