Time to call the Dept the State (DOS)

Hello VJers!!!

May I know when is the best time to call the Dept of State? What time is their office hours? 8-5pm?

Thanks a lot!!! I need to call them about my interview date.

I thought the Manila consulate was in charge of setting your interview date, not the NVC.

The embassy schedules it, but the DOS usually knows the date. I believe (if I remember correctly) that they are open till 11-12 PM, so call early or late. Correct me if I'm wrong though.

Their web site just says business hours, which I would guess to be 8-5 EST. I guess you can try calling outside these times...if not in you will most likely get a recording.
