Your fiance will only be allowed once entry on the K-1 visa. Once you are married, she will need permission to travel until the green card. You can file for Advance parole ($170) with the AOS paperwork. Processing the AP takes 2-3 months, though there is a proceedure for emergency travel as well.

Leaving the US with out the AP and before the AOS is finalized is considered to abandoning the AOS. You would have to start all over again for a spouse visa.

I had a friend who left the country, not realizing, going back to Canada to visit the folks with the new husband. She basically "self-deported" she was told.

After the I 131 has been approved does it expire? how long do you have to use it? and can you apply for it multiple times within the two year probabtion period?

The AP is good for one year and it may or may not allow multiple entries. Some can come along and correct me if I am wrong. If by the 2 year probation perion you are referring to the conditional green card, you do not need the AP with this only to travel before the arrival of the green card.

Thanks, for all your help. However I have one more question can you get married outside of USA and then again inside the USA once the K1 VISA has been issued without breaking any laws/regulations.

Your fiance has to enter the US on the K-1 visa not married. You can marry here and then (with permission to travel) have another ceremony anywhere. Some people do have a non-legal ceremony in their home country before traveling to the the US to marry with the K-1. Others argue strongly against any ceremony that could give immigration reason to deny entry on the K-1.

If you get married outside the US, you can no longer file for a K1...a K1 is strictly designed for fiances of US citizens not for spouses...if you do decide to get married outside the US, you should look into other options such as the K3 spousal visa.

The US recognizes marriages from other countries...if you go that route you could have a "symbolic ceremony" in the US for family members and friends that couldn't attend the wedding abroad.
