Long birth certificate

I have my interview a week tomorrow, and have been making sure that I have all my documents ready. I applied for my 'long' birth certificate online last year so I would have it in plenty of time for my interview date.

The thing is, yesterday someone at the registrars office told me it wasn't the long version, but my neighbour (who works there too) told me that it is the long version cos it has my parents details on it.....i'm confused?!

I have attached a copy of my birth certificate, can any of you confirm which version I have please?

Looks exactly the same as my "Long" birth certificate that i used for my interview in September so it looks like you're all set

Oh good, I should have taken that guys name, I really panicked when he told me it was the wrong one, what an idiot eh!

No problem, i wouldnt worry too much about the interview, as long as all your paperwork is in order you should be fine.

This is interesting......it looks very different from the long form birth cert given in Northern Ireland. The one my husband was given (and that was accepted by the London consulate) was an exact copy of the official record. Copied right out of the birth register showing the handwriting of the clerk and everything.

Just goes to show that acceptable things don't always 'look alike'! I would have had to tell you that it didn't look a thing like his!
